Pistachio Protein Spread from Sicily
An exclusive pistachio spread found only at Giannetti Artisans. This is one you can eat by the spoonful and not feel guilty. Our pistachio protein spread is sugar free. We use xylitol, a natural sugar substitute found in fruits and vegetables, to make our spread, containing a much lower glycaemic index.
Our Sicilian artisan produces it with 50% Sicilian Pistachios grown in that famous little town called Bronte. Located at the foothills of the Mt. Etna, Bronte is where many pistachio plantations extend throughout the territory.
The “Brontesi” have become famous thanks to the Bronte pistachio nut. An exclusive product because pistachios are harvested every 2 years, picked and sun-dried as the Sicilian traditional calls for. Bronte is a small territory with a limited amount of pistachio plantations.
The special pistachio nut from that area has a special taste, color and natural oil content due to the fact that pistachio trees grown on a very fertile volcanic soil in and in its surroundings.
