We’ve scoured the countryside (and maybe gained a pound or two) to find what we think is the best Panettone Italy has to offer. Our panettone is lovingly handmade by local Sicilian artisans and imported by Giannetti Artisans. We’ve got a Certified DOP pistachio cream filled, a Modica chocolate filled, and tangerine cream filled cake as well as other delicious flavors– why not try all to satisfy everyone at your table. Make this holiday season the perfect family get together we have all been waiting for.

As many know, it’s a ritual in many homes where panettone is a welcomed guest after every meal. Giving panettone is not a simple act of kindness but a gesture rich in history and tradition during the holiday season. It is virtually impossible to imagine, for a great many Italian families, to finish the Christmas dinner without the delectable Panettone cake!

This traditional cake-like bread is cylindrical in shape with a domed top. It should always be taller than it is wide, with a soft and airy interior beneath a dark exterior.  The traditional version from Milan contains dried raisins, candied orange and lemon peel and is embraced by fans worldwide. In fact, panettone has long crossed the boundaries of its native city. What makes Panettone so unique is the double or triple rising, made with yeast, a dough that magically regenerates indefinitely.

Enjoyed on Christmas in many countries, it is served in slices, vertically cut and accompanied with sweet hot beverages or a sweet wine, such as Asti or Moscato d’Asti, ice cream or even eggnog. While the traditional recipe remains a delicacy, we think your family will love the cream-filled variations! Simply exquisite!

PISTACHIO cream filling:(23% finished product) PISTACHIO cream, (PISTACHIO paste 7% of finished product) glucose syrup, sugar, water, sweetened EGG yolk, ethyl alcohol, gelling agents: pectin, skimmed milk powder, milk-based preparation, thickeners: Modified corn starch, whey powder, emulsifier: Mono and diglycerides, preservatives: Potassium sorbate, Flavorings), PISTACHIO paste (7%). Covered with pistachio glaze (4%) – white icing (sugar, fractionated and totally hydrogenated vegetable fats (palm oil), MILK whey powder, whole MILK powder, emulsifiers: Sorbitan monostearate, sunflower lecithin, citric acid and fatty acid esters of vegetable oils and flavorings). #3 Panettone Sicilian Citrus Fruits: Basic dough (70% of finished product): (type “0” soft WHEAT flour, sugar, BUTTER powder, emulsifier: Mono-and diglycerides of fatty acids, skim MILK powder, salt, dextrose, whey powder, flavorings), BUTTER, EGG yolks, granulated sugar , WHEAT natural yeast (WHEAT flour type “0”, WHEAT mother yeast powder, enzymes, flour treatment agent: ascorbic acid), orange blossom honey, natural yeast (saccharomyces cerevisiae), flavorings.
