Sicilian Pistachio Pesto Recipe for Pasta:
Giannetti Artisans Sicilian Pistachio Pesto recipe has 100% Sicilian Pistachios from Bronte. This pasta dish has a very delicate taste and presents itself very well accompanied by a red wine. To enjoy this very particular “delizia” (delight) for about 4 people you will need:
18 OZ (500 gr) of penne pasta
3 tablespoons of Giannetti Artisans Pistachio Pesto for Pasta (see link:) https://giannettiartisans.com/shop/artisan-food-of-sicily/sicilian-artisan-pistachio-pasta-pesto/
3.5 OZ (100gr) of ham
¼ of a white onion
Some almonds or pine nuts
Giannetti Artisans Extra Virgin Olive Oil (see link:) https://giannettiartisans.com/shop/all-italian-food/certified-olive-oil/
Salt
While boiling your pasta to a perfect “al dente” cooking;
You can prepare as follows:
Pour a little bit of olive oil in a pan, allow for it to heat (not burn) and add the onion that you’ve cut or diced, sauteè at a low flame until a bit golden, add pesto and cook for about 2/3 min, lastly add ham. Once pasta is cooked add your pesto sauce to the pasta and refine your dish with some almonds or pine nuts!
I ordered this through Amazon. We were blown away by this pesto. Just what we remembered from our travels in Sicily. It really is superb.
