Giannetti Artisans’ Unpasteurized Chestnut Honey is an exquisite gift from nature.
Our honey is produced in a pristine and unpolluted area of Tuscany by a dedicated and passionate artisan. We source our honey from the Garfagnana region, located about an hour from Lucca, which boasts a dense forest of chestnut trees. This area is far from populated cities and pollution, resulting in a more intense flavor from the chestnut tree blossoms. In fact, bees thrive in environments like Garfagnana, allowing them to produce an all-natural, unpasteurized, unfiltered, and unheated honey that captures the true essence of their surroundings.
It’s important to note that genuine artisan honey may become slightly dense over time. This is a good sign, indicating that it has not undergone any temperature alterations. Most importantly, it retains all of its natural and beneficial health properties.
Our Chestnut Honey has a robust flavor that pairs perfectly with fresh pecorino or mild cheese. It is available in 17.6 oz or 8.8 oz jars, and is imported directly from Italy. A new batch arrives every July.

Okay, so this item I got into right away… only because I made some Sour Dough Bread… but I am so glad I did! I absolutely love the Chestnut Honey, the flavor that comes through is incredible!!! I only wish I knew a lot more ways to use this delicious product.
