Giannetti Artisans’s Artisanal Italian Chestnut Honey is produced in a beautiful foresty area called Garfagnana, located right outside of Lucca, Tuscany. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garfagnana.
As a result, the production of chestnut honey from this particular area is among the best in Europe due to such low pollution of this region.
Furthermore, the particular climatic condition here allows for a prolonged blossoming season.
An important aspect to understand is that our Chestnut Honey is a completely raw honey. As a matter of fact, we offer a completely UNHEATED and unpasteurized all natural honey!
As a result, the density of the honey may change with time. In fact, you might notice that it starts to solidify. Keep in mind that there is nothing wrong with the honey, it is simply a natural aging process. Most importantly this process guarantees an authentic and pure specialty product!
Industrial honey on the other hand, will probably remain in a liquid state since it has undergone pasteurization. Unfortunately that kind of processing will remove all the natural nutritional properties of your honey.
