Sugared Almond Paste for Almond Milk and Granita – Imported from Sicily
Giannetti Artisans’ Sugared Almond Paste, made with peeled Sicilian Avola almonds, is known as “panetto di mandorle” and is as authentic as it gets!
This 8.8 oz stick/block is a mix of sugar and peeled almonds, typically used in Sicily during the summer months at Italian cafés. Sicilians enjoy using the “panetto” by adding water to create a refreshing glass of Sicilian Almond Milk. Additionally, we recommend it for making a delicious Sicilian granita!
Giannetti Artisans sources our Sugared Almond Paste from a Sicilian artisan located in Avola, near Siracusa, which is known as the Sicilian almond capital.
When mixed with water, you get an instant Sicilian Almond Milk mix, just like the ones served in cafés across Sicily. The sugar content is perfectly balanced, ensuring that the drink is not overly sweet.
One stick (8.8 oz) produces about 51 ounces of almond milk.
If you prefer a non-sugared alternative, we also offer the Giannetti Artisans Sicilian Unsweetened Almond Paste in a jar, allowing you to add your own sugar and water to create a refreshing almond milk drink in minutes.
Ingredients: Avola almonds from Sicily 35%, Sugar 65%, May contain starch and other dried fruit.

This is my second year in a row buying 2 of these. Last year, I made the best batches of rainbow cookies ever on my FIRST try with these almond sticks. They’ve officially sparked a new holiday tradition in my household!
