Handmade Fennel Taralli Crackers
Giannetti Artisans Handmade Fennel Seed Taralli Crackers from Puglia (Apulia) are a favorite among foodies everywhere and are a true Italian staple.
Taralli are delicious, crunchy snacks similar in texture to a breadstick or pretzel but even crunchier! Traditional taralli are available in both savory and sweet flavors. The sweetness often comes from a dusting of powdered sugar, giving them a delicious white coating. The savory, on the other hand are often flavored with onion, fennel, black pepper, chili pepper or plain.
We source from a small, family-run business in Bari who make these decadent crackers using a secret family recipe from generations! To this day, they have never revealed what makes their Taralli taste so good! We do know that the EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) they use comes from an area called Bitonto, known as the Olive Oil capital of Puglia (Apulia), and their flour comes from an area of the Apulia region called “Tavoniere delle Puglie”, the second largest wheat producer in Italy (right after Padania). To this day, they are still handmade, with love, and we are so fortunate to share them with you.
